If we can not find this thread the next time we log in...it will probably end up in late night!   Shame on you   Smile   Let's keep it here so the one's who are bummed out will easily see it and can get a smile.  Though funny! but lets not go over the edge.  Laughing  keeping it on the brink.

To put a slightly different spin on it, has anyone done strange and silly things when waking up?

I once woke up in the middle of the night and started wandering around the house looking for my son.  After a few minutes I remembered that I have two daughters.

Something very Freudian about that...

Sorry, I tend to go overboard sometimes.  All in good fun.

Had a new one last night...  Background: Because of my insomnia, I need to climb into bed early and usually I read until I can fall asleep.  If hubby goes to bed before I do, this is problematic because my nightstand light is too bright.  Also, when I am able to beat him to bed, I like to lay flat on my pillow and hold my book overhead -- my arms get tired pretty fast!

Idea  I ordered an LED book light and something called an "Able Table" -- it's a lap table, has elastic bands on the table face to hold the book open, and the table face can be set facing downward, one can read while horizontal and not have to hold the book!

Well ahead of bedtime, I set the table on the floor next to the bed and got everything adjusted so it was balanced to hold my book almost overhead, clipped the book light and checked position for good lighting, and thought, Kewl this is going to work well!

Later on I'm still up and hubby has gone to bed.  I finally creep into bed, quietly get mask on, pull up my trusty lap table and turn on book light, and set about reading for awhile.  One of my kittens crawls up to see what's going on and curls up under my chin for a snooze.

Apparently I fell asleep while reading.  An undetermined period of time later, I am suddenly and rudely awakened by the lap table losing its balance and toppling forward, pitching right onto my face!!!   d'oh!   The loud bang also wakes my husband up.  And a second or two later, during a tiny pause in our laughter, we hear a questioning, "Meow?"  The kitten is still under there!

Oh, the poor little thing.  And I bet he/she was just getting to the good part in the book too.  Now, it'll never know if the butler did it. : Sad
