Post Not sure if I have Sleep Apnea or not
In the past couple of weeks, I've been going to bed anywhere between 9:00 and 11:00.  I appear to wake up at 12:00 or 1:00, then wake up every two hours from 2:00, to 4:00, then I get up at 5:30.
I find myself sometimes drifting off at work.  I am at least 50 lbs overweight.  I'm 5'11" and weigh 250 lbs.  I could live at 200 lbs, but my optimal weight is probably 175 lbs.

At each point when I wake up, I have to go to the bathroom.  Throughout the day, I try to keep myself up by drinking energy drinks and/or using vitamins.  Not sure what I may or may not have.

Thanks.

Hi Scott,

Sounds like you have a problem OK.

Waking at night to go to the bathroom is called nocturia and it is a symptom of untreated sleep apnoea. Excessive Daytime Sleepiness is also another symptom.

With these symptoms alone I think it worthwhile to get a referral to a sleep doctor and let them take it from there.

Kind regards,

Daniel
