Just wondering if there were any pilots in the forum with first class medicals..What does your AME and FAA  do when you are diagnosed with sleep apnea??

Thanks

Oh my god!  Somehow I never thought of pilots having sleep apnea, but, of course, given the statistics some certainly do.

Let us hope (and pray) that both the pilot AND co-pilot don't have it!!

LOL...I'm flying in November.  Now I have something else to worry about.

Hi,

I am personally aware of 2 commercial pilots who have OSA. In both cases they had to stop flying initially, but are now back flying subject to regular medicals.

I know of one International pilot who probably does, but won't mention it or get tested.
