I got my Mirage Swift Nasal Pillow headgear a few weeks ago and feel in love with it.  I'm newly diagnosed and for the first week I slept fantastic.  At the end of the first week I decided to clean the entire unit as instructed by my tech and the ResMed guide.  That night, after re-assembling it, I noticed the mask was leaking around the cap that plugs the opposite side of the hose.  No matter what I do, I can't seem to make the leaking stop.  It seems OK for a bit after i fidget with it but as soon as I move to my side, I hear and feel the leak again.  I've tried removing the cap and stretching it out some with no luck.  If I twist the end cap while its on the mask, the leak gets less but doesn't go away and gets worse if I move around in the night.  Now I'm back to falling asleep at work out of the blue and I'm getting so worried that I wont get the great sleep I had the first week.  What should I do, I'm getting deeply depressed and worried?  Thank you so much for any advice.

 I just started using the Mirage Swift myself this week, and on CPAP therapy for about a month. I love it too. I did read about this problem on another forum, and it was suggested to wrap the cap end with plumbers teflon tape (Home Depot, Lowes, etc) to provide a better seal. I dont have this problem, but I know that sometimes the rubber ring on the headgear strap that goes between the pillow tube and the end cap can get rolled or snagged while assembling. Make sure you get a good "snap" when you put it together.

Hi, I am glad that you have gotten some wonderful sleep, but am sorry for the frustration you are experiencing now.  I have been diagnosed for about four months and have been on cpap same amount of time.  I take my maks apart for washings, etc. but have not had this problem either.  However, i do have a thought.  Your mask should still be under warrenty with your dme company and the company who made the mask.  why don't you call them and tell them the problem and ask them to help you correct it.  I would think they would be happy to do this for you, especially since your mask is so new, but would help you in any way to get adjusted.

I have two masks...one as a backup...and I noticed the same problem with one of the masks.  I narrowed the problem to one of the rubber rings...  

You can order additional rings for a small price online.
