Well, I leave here in ten minutes to get my new apap and mask. I got myself a nice little bedside tray to hold it, a surge protector bar for its power needs, brought home two bottles of distilled water, and bought a small bag of scrunchies and hooks for trying to make it all work over the next days. I even found out my local pharmacy has ayr gel and bought some and some nasal irrigation stuff (same stuff I used to use so I know it works for me).
I have my list of ideal masks and machines in the car along with a form for the doc to fill out to see if I can get an allowance on my electricity from my power company. I even packed a book in case they are running late.
So, now I am set to start my new life. I am very excited and hopeful. I have read many stories about how it takes a while to adjust but even a few hours of less interupted sleep would be welcome. I will let you all know what I come home with and put it in my sig when I get it here. I am hoping to talk them into prescriping the software and see if my, generally good, insurance will just cover it as a whole package.
Wish me luck!
