I use just a drop of ivory dish soap. It's very mild, cuts the daily facial grease tht collects on the mask insert and smells nice. I've developed the ritual to wash the insert every morning after I get up and before I go to bed I wash my face. If I don't, when I hit the high pressure, I develop leaks. A few nights of battling leaks, has taught me my lesson.

Disassemble the mask according to the instructions in the User Guide.

1. Clean the individual parts of the mask with a soft bristle brush for one minute while soaking
them in detergent or disinfectant1. Pay particular attention to all crevices and cavities.

2. Rinse the components twice by agitating them vigorously in drinking quality water (5 litres per

1. Soak the disinfectable mask components in a commercially available solution of orthophthalaldehyde
0.55% (eg, CIDEX™ OPA) or glutaraldehyde 3.4% (eg, CIDEX Plus™)-both Johnson&Johnson products.

2. Rinse the mask components in drinking quality water (5 litres per mask) and allow them to air
dry out of direct sunlight.

I think that cleaning info is for multi-person use as in a sleep center.

I use mild hand soap that is NOT anti-biotic soft soap. I use 1 part white vinegar to 10 parts water weekly for my mask, humidifier and hose once a week as per my DME recommendation.
