Excessive pressure indicator?

Post Excessive pressure indicator?
If my sleep cannot get deep enough due to the pressure (9.5 cm) set on my CPAP, does it mean that the pressure set is too high for my OSA, or does it mean that I'm just sensitive to such pressure? The air blowing with this kind of pressure feels really unconfortable, and I couldn't get used to it in two months. This kind of constant air blowing just doesn't let me fall asleep to a degree sufficient for a good night's sleep.

I'm at 11 and can barely feel the pressure since I am so use to it blowing in my face. Took me about 2 weeks to get used to the pressure and now I think nothing of it.

Too high of a pressure may cause central apneas, but you should still sleep through them; it sounds like you just need to get accustomed to the pressure.  11 cmh2o is a medium pressure, it is not at all high.

I haven't gotten accustomed to it in two months, and I don't think I can ever get accustomed to it. And that is most probably because it is too high for my apnea.

If you feel that your treatment is inappropriate then you should talk to your doctor about it.

I would agree w/BeardedOne. Your sleep doctor can't help w/a problem he doesn't know about. If he is difficult to get thru to see if your DME supplier's RT will contact him for you. Often they can get thru when the patient can't. Two months is long enough to not see any improvement. I always only gave any change in therapy only one month before making my sleep doctor aware of no improvement or any problems I couldn't figure out on my own.
