I am just like you.  I sleep with a full face mask and sleep on my stomach or right side.  I also feel like I am suffocating on my left or back.  I asked my pulmonologist about this and he said since I was overweight (I am227 pounds) all the lung and chest fat tissue push and squeeze the heart making it harder to pump so it feels like it is harder to breath when I am on my left.  With the heart more up in the air on the right  side, gravity and less poundage pressing down make it easier to breath.  He also said to notice very large people (700 pounders).  Most of them sleep on the  right side or stomach.  I never had the opportunity to watch fat people sleep so I guess I had to take his word for it.

I had a few lypomas removed last summer from my leg and foot.  The doctor said that some people are just prone to them.  I THINK that I feel about six more of them in my neck, chest, chin and back area.  I wonder if I could have some more on the inside of my chest as well.  The one on my leg was about six inches long and four inches wide.  I was told to expect it to take about 2-5 years for the "crater" to go away that was caused by removing it.  Instead it took about three months to grow back and then some.  SOOO I wonder........but have to wait to see my pulmonologist until Oct as they have no other openings.  Until then it seems to be getting worse all the time.  I am just sleeping on the right and if I roll to the left I wake up right away gasping for air.

Crohnie I did enjoy my trip.  CT was PERFECT we walked for hours everyday, saw some BEAUTIFUL sights and ate WAY too much seafood...............good times...........
