I went thru TSA screening in Atlanta and Montrose, Colorado. I left my CPAP in the carrying case. They didn't even open the case.

For travel I recommend putting an extension cord in your case. It would have been nice to have one in one hotel due to the arrangement of lamp and clock radio plugs. One thing you don't want is to have the machine on the wrong side of the bed from what you are used to at home.
