Hey all, I'm new here, I just recieved my CPAP a few days ago. It is an S8 Autoset Vantage, my only problem so far is that the air leak alarm goes off at night, I don't hear ir but it wakes my wife up. According to her, I move around a little and it stops. I am going to try to adjust the mask better, but does anyone know how to turn off the alarm, the owners manual shows a setting for it, but I can't seem to get to it.
Thanks for any assistance.
Mike

Mike,
The bigger issue isn't turning off the alarm, its resolving the mask leak. If you are getting enough leak to cause the alarm, it means you aren't getting the therapy that you should be. What kind of mask are you using?
Thanks, it is a Respironics comfort gel nasal mask, I soaked it in hot water and put it on(per the instructions) so that it could form a better fit to my face and as far as we can tell the alarm didn't go off last night, but today I think that I will play with the straps some more to try to get a more comfortable fit. As far as the alarm goes, I don't even know that it goes off, but it keeps my wife up, so I still would like to disable it.

Ah, ok... The Respironics gel masks don't have a very good history with folks in regards to fit. If you still run into problems, you might want to look at getting a different mask. As to disabling it, I don't know, but maybe someone with that machine can chime in, it is a fairly new one, so I would suspect that not many folks are familiar.
