Post Newbie has a question
I have been using my CPAP for a week and I seem to be removing it while im sleeping. Will this go away? Does anyone here have severe apnea? The CPAP seems to be helping me. I used to take a 2hr napp when I finished work and no longer nap.

yes, a lot of us do this at first, some also manage to turn their machine off in their sleep, seems we all can do strange things when half awake....

if you tape mask to face the pain will partly wake you and remind you to leave mask on

glad it seems to be helping, remember to have daytime naps using CPAP if you feel tired

Thankyou for youre input. If you have severe Apnea does this mean you are going to have a shorter life?

huntk....as for the mask..another thing that can be done is clip it to your hair..as lynn said, anything that wil cause enough pain to stop you from removing it.  This has been tried and proven many times over.

Many have severe apnea on here..MANY.  No, it does not mean you will have a shorter life....if you have to keep it treated and keep your AHI under 5 everynight..plus never sleep without the PAP...called NAP with the PAP...again as Lynn said.  AN AHI under 5 is considered to be treated apnea.

If you do not have a machine that will tell you your AHI on an LCD screen...try and get one...you most likely can still return the one you have.  Don
't let the DME tell you that your insurance will not cover it or the Dr did not script it...or that they do not carry it..all not true...it is all about $$ usually for them.

Keep us posted!
