Post Dry throat - mouth during these fall months. Is this normal?
I first got my autoPap back in May 2008. I didn't really suffer from dry mouth / throat because I had a humidifier.

It's now October / November. And I notice that my throat, eyes, and mouth are dry. And I wake up from a parched throat using CPAP even with a Humidifier.

What's going on? Is this due to the seasonal changes? Can the colder weather affect CPAP use?

Have you tried to raise the heat setting on your humidifier?
I find that during late Fall and Winter I tend to need more humidification too.  In my case, I think the air is dryer generally during those times.  And then when I start heating my home, the air is even drier.  Sometimes in the summer the air is dry too, if I use a lot of air conditioning.  If you can, try raising the heating level for your humidifier.

You can also consider buying a humidifer for your room or house.  We have one for the entire house and a smaller one that we can place into a room if someone is sick.  Try to keep the humidity in the room somewhere between 40 - 50 percent.  Don't go too high since your windows will soon have water all over them.  This is a bad thing for windows, especially if they are wooden.  You can go to a local Walmart and buy a device that tells you the percentage of humidity in the air.  It is well worth the purchase if you have a dry mouth problem.  I had this problem, even before the CPAP.
