 Merry Christmas
I am not trying to turn this forum into a political forum, and may get chastised for this, but I must say it. As y’all likely know, I am from the “old school” and not exactly politically correct. I have heard Merry Christmas for about 58 years. I am not ready for Happy Holidays and a Holiday Tree. It is, and always will be, Merry Christmas and a Christmas Tree to me.
Enough politicizing for this post. That said y’all have a “Merry Christmas” and enjoy your “Christmas Tree”!!
Harold

I have been hearing "Merry Christmas" and "Christmas Tree" for about 33 years now, and I know I'm not the oldest on here, but this old dog doesn't learn new tricks like the political correctness of this issue. Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year!!!

As it looks like I'm the only Jew here, I'm proud to say Merry Christmas to all of you! I agree with you all that you should be able to say Merry Christmas and Christmas tree. Who ever heard of a holiday tree anyway? Enough of the PC garbage!
And if there are any other Jews here, Happy Chanukah ! חנוכה שמח
And happy Kwaanza for those who keep that too.

I think what aishel is trying so desperately to say is Happy RamaHannuKwanzmas!!! If you want to be "Politically Correct", this is the way. ROTFL!!!

Sleep Scott. I'd love to see a card for that one!
Seriously, I think we should all be able to celebrate all of our holidays that we choose. One certainly does not take away from another, but if they're all lumped together in a generic holiday, they sure do lose their meaning, for any and all beliefs.

sleepyjean,
I could make a card for that one next time I get over to my parents' place. I could do it here, but my printer drivers are presently on the fritz!

Thank goodness you spelled Chanukah because I have one heck of a time remembering how to spell that every year. You'd think I'd have learned by now.
But sometimes I even have trouble spelling Happy, so go figure.
Whatever you celebrate, enjoy yourself and those around you. Go easy on yourself. Celebrate your lives and the memories of those you love.

I once got a card from a local radio station:
Quote:
Happy _________ ! (fill in the blank)
- Christmas
- Chanukah
- Kwanza

I grew up in such a diverse family that we celebrate all of those holidays. And you know what, we say Merry Chritmas, all of us. I think that politically correct takes away from each of those holidays. Merry Christmas Everybody!!
and Happy New Year!! Thanks for all your great help!
