Post Kleerway oral appliance vs Somomed
Hi Everyone

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried the Kleerway oral appliance?  My sleep doctor wrote me out a prescription for one but when I took it to my dentist he said the that although the lab he uses makes the Kleerway appliance, the lab recommens the Somomed oral appliance, which they also make.  Has anyone out there used the Kleerway?  I can see from your posts that quite a few have had a fair bit of luck with the somomed.  The sleep clinic I use says that the Kleerway is the only appliance they know of which was developed specifically for sleep apnea (rather  than just snoring)
Also, I'm a mouth breather at night.  How's the Somomed work for this?  Incidently, I have tried (and tried, and tried) the CPAC and I just cannot handle it.

I have to let them know in the next couple days which one I want to order so I'm researching like crazy today.

My thanks for any insight you can give.

Beav

This info is probably coming too late, but I have a Kleerway, and it has worked very well. My husband says that I don't snore for most of the night, and that when I do sometimes snore in the very early morning (5 or 6 a.m.), it is not as loud as it used to be.
However, I wish I could report success with my insurance company reimbursing me. My first attempt just got a form rejection saying it was a dental device (even though I included my doctor's prescription for it), so I have to appeal.
