As some of you may have read, I struggled with major leak problems with 4 different full face masks, until I found the 5th (resmed ultra mirage).  I was in heaven - sleeping like a baby all through the night without leaks for nearly 2 weeks.  Then, 3 nights ago, it started leaking like crazy. It can take up to an hour to get it to stop leaking so I can fall asleep and then I wake up many times a night with leaks and having to pee & a I'm a tired slug all day long (which means it's not really working).  It's now just as bad as the rest.

Why would this change overnight and what can I do to get it back to it's original state????  I really liked sleeping.

OK SO YOU POSTED BEFORE ME!!! I'VE BEEN FEELING THAT THERE ARE LITTLE HEADGEAR GREMLINS OUT THERE SABOTAGING US. I HAD A REALLY BAD NIGHT A WEEK AGO(3 HRS OF FIGHTING WITH THE MASK-FORCING ME TO CALL IN SICK TO WORK) I HAD  FOUND THE PERFECT SETTINGS FOR THE STRAPS ON THE HEADGEAR-NO MORE MARKS ON MY FACE FOR A WHOLE WEEK...THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN-NO SEAL ON MASK;LEAKING ALL OVER-I'M TALKING HUGE LEAKS... VERY FRUSTRATING,LINNEA,I AGREE-HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?????? BUT ONCE AGAIN I HAVE FOUND THE BEST FIT AND THE MASK AND I ARE FRIENDS ONCE AGAIN-FOR NOW!!!!!!!LOL

Try taking it apart and putting it back together.  One of the seals may of become lose during cleaning, sleeping, etc.

OK, I'll give that a try.

so - I took it apart, washed it again, gave myself a facial (what used to be known as a face mask), scrubbed my face dry, sat up and putzed with the mask for an hour in the early evening and finally got it to only leak in one place.

Now the question is this - if there's one slow leak all night, what does that do to your pressure?

The other question is - can one order a new silicone thing from somewhere and have it arrive quickly?

Lots to do this week, pre-holiday and work wise, getting some quality sleep and getting rid of my cold would be wonderful.

Yes, you can order every part to most any mask. Just do a google search on your mask model. The companies online that sell the masks generally also sell the individual parts.

Try soaking the mask in vinegar and warm water for 1 hour.  This will soften up the soft parts and make it work like new again.  I works for me

I have had this problem with my mask from time to time.  It would be fine and then poof--leaks everywhere.  For me it was realizing that for some reason my face (the T zone) was more oily than usual.  So I get up, wash the mask, rewash my face and usually that fixes the problem.  My husband thinks that that might be the days when I am most stressed and eat chocolate?? I don't even eat an entire candy bar so who knows, maybe it is the stress.  As this has happened many times, and I have fixed it the same way, maybe it is the stress itself. Anyway this is how I fix it.  The soaking in vinegar works really well too.
