Make sure you are hanging the hose over something in the middle. That way there is only 1/2 of the hose on either side for the water to drip out of.
There are cleaning devices for shotguns called "boresnakes" that can be run thru the hose to sop up the water. It is just a long length of rope with a fluffy absorbant part midway.

As you get new hoses from the DME keep the old one. When you wash the one that was attached to your CPAP put the back up on your CPAP and let the one dry.

 drying hoses and masks
I was advised to immediately hang the hose over a door upon rising. That has always dried it out.
Re: cleaning the hose and mask. Once a week I put them in the tub with mild soap. Then I rinse them out real good, and put the maks with the straps on my window sill to dry. They dry real quick.

2 years now and I've never cleaned my main hose. The air you exhale never makes it that far backwards to reach the main hose.

I hang mine over the fixture in my shower. Never have had a problem.

Actually a little moisture inside the hose is not a bad thing but if you want to really dry the hose, one method that really works is to attach it to your machine with no mask attached at the other end and run your machine for a few minutes. I put a tissue under the open end so my bed doesn't get wet.

About not getting your equipment dry:
Rinse all your equipment (masks, hoses) in warm/hot water.
Then, using a deep plastic tub, put hot water in the tub and then add about 1/2 cup of liquid Pine Sol. Soak all hoses and masks, etc in the hot water about 15 minutes or so to disinfect. Then, rinse everything in warm/hot water thourougly.
To dry: Lay everything out on a doubled heavy bath towel. Set up a small metal fan and turn on to dry. This drys everything very quickly. To get air through the hoses, use a milk jug or similar, filled with water. Thread the hoses thru the handle of the jub so the air blows
down the hose. It works great. Anything with a handle or hole big enough so that you can fit the hose ends inside to hold them, will work.
You need to clean your equipment every 3 or 4 days as well - more if you have contaminated them. Hopes this helps.

Clean your tubing right before bed time.
Turn your humidifier down a notch, hook up, and go to sleep.
The moisture in the tube with evaporate and it will dry long before morning.

 Let the machine do it
I always have a little bit of moisture in my big hose after letting it dry all day, so I just hook it up to my mask and let the machine run for a while. I guess that might not work with APAPs and the like. Mine's a bare bones machine with exhalation relief, and that's about it.
