When I woke up after my second sleep study, my chest felt pretty sore. Is this normal? I had to sleep on my back (which I don't like, always feels like someone sitting on my chest) because I had requested a full mask instead of pillows. Thinking of requesting a fitting for a Liberty or Hybrid when I go in to pick up my machine...

I hope so....because my chest has been hurting....though not as much now, but I do wake up when my hand on my chest as if it were.  Though there have been some scary nights where it was hurting really strange.

I have noticed that the shape of my chest has changed.  I'm sure its all due the positive pressure....  If it was still painful enough to be concerned, I might bring it up with my doctor during some followup appointment...though I'm generally not one to seek out doctors for every little thing....or a few big things....

I'm sure I read somewhere that sunken chest is a sign of undiagnosed sleep apnea in some people....well, my chest isn't as sunken anymore.  OTOH, its also a sign of (undiagnosed?) scoliosis....another problem that I also have.  My mom thought doctors were quacks only out to make money....still does.  Still maintains this thing called scoliosis is something everybody has.

What she says about sleep apnea...hmmm, makes me afraid to go home for the holidays (doesn't matter that I'll be 41).

Hybrid, I tried that at my DME...we found it to be a rather noisy mask....got to try a demo of the fulllife, now I'm waiting for that to be available.  My current mask is the ComfortLite II -- nasal pillows.  I originally didn't like nasal pillows, even though I was prescribed a different nasal pillow mask.  But, it was process of trying several different masks when I first started.

I'm seeking a FFM for when I'm congested....when sinus rinse isn't enough to get me clear....though right now I'll break down and use nasal spray on the really bad nights.

Didn't try Liberty...though DME doesn't normally carry either mask...so the Hybrid was a special order item.  It was good that I didn't have to take it....

I was looking at the Liberty or Hybrid primarily because I prefer to sleep on my stomach, or at the very least, my side. The Quattro made that darn near impossible last night. They also had to really tighten that sucker down because it was a pretty leaky for me. I figure since the Liberty and Hybrid are smaller masks, I might be able to sleep more comfortably.

On a good note, I did sleep for an hour longer than my first sleep study... I'll take any progress I can get!
