Post respironics m series pro with humid, Software
I am looking at a used respironics m series pro with humidification and smart card.

What would I need for software for my computer ? Can I get copy of the software from some on on the Forum, or do I have to buy it?

Last how does the card interface with the computer ? USB Port or PCMIA slot ?

Bob

you have to buy a card reader and I believe it connects with USB to computer. You ALSO have to buy the software which I believe is Windows only (I'm a MAC person) I found it on a cpap supply website. Just do a search for cpap and check out the USA one.

They have smart card readers for both USB and PCMCIA....I got USB.  Newest laptop doesn't use PCMCIA.  The software is called EncoreViewer.

I run Windows XP inside of VirtualBox....

Do you know how to change the settings on the machine you are looking at buying. That is important

EncoreViewer is the patient version of the Respironics software. EncorePro is the professional version. I "think" it is v.1.8 of EncorePro for the M Series. Neither EncoreViewer nor EncorePro 1.8 are compatable w/the new PR System One xPAPs but that shouldn't concern you w/the M Series.
