Post Smart data option
On another thread ChrohnieToo mentioned the Smart data option on the ResMed S8 Elite 11 CPap machine. It is under the clinician's menu.

Question, If I  have this option turned on will I be able to see my data..example the AHI on a daily basis... without going into my clinician's menu? Right now it is not turned on.

Yes, Webbie. If the SmartData option is turned on you will have access to the advanced/detailed patient menu which allows access to your Efficacy and Usage data. The Efficacy data provides the 95% Pressure and Leak, your AHI and your AI for the night (you subtract the AI from the AHI to get your HI). The Usage data provides the number of hours used that night, the number of hours you've used the device, the number of nights you've used the device and the number of nights since you first used your device. You can NOT change your CPAP therapy setting by accident or intentionally from this menu.

And, by the way, the Efficacy data can be seen for that night, the previous week, the previous month, the previous six months and the previous year when you've used it that long.

This doesn't work for me through the Advanced (main) Menu >> SmartData, even though both access to the Advanced Menu and SmartData submenu had been enabled.  I can see the Usage data that way, but not the Efficacy data.

In order to see the Efficacy data, I have to access the Review Menu, then use the down arrow to go to Results.  This isn't described in my version of the Instructions for Use.  For information regarding any SmartData it says "ask your clinician".  I suppose the clinician is supposed to tell you how to do this ... although in the case of both my RT and doctor I'll bet I have to tell them how.  So I don't think I'm supposed to post how to access that menu here, although no settings can be changed there, only setting and data viewing (it's not the Clinician Menu).

This discrepancy may also be due to the software version installed on my machine.  (Or a discrepancy between instructions for use and the software / version ... or a minor software "issue" ... sigh ... my personal and professional lives collide.)

In my software version, with access described above, the HI is also calculated and displayed separately Very Happy.  Which is good for me, because that's where most of my problem lies.
