Post Will Autopap assist with severe Hypopnea and Central Apnea ?
Hi,,,I had a sleep study 12/2 which showed maybe 6 obstructive apnea events and severe Hypopnea and severe Central Apnea events !!!! My ENT wanted to trial me on a auto-pap. The Diagnostic company performing the tests wanted me on a Bi-pap machine!!! So,,, I had a titration sleep study on 1/16 to determine the settings !!!!  Ok,,,,,I was informed this morning that I have a appointment tomorrow to be fitted for a auto-Pap, for a 2 week trial to see if I feel better. Then if not better,,,will be sent from my clinic in Princeton, Minnesota to Minneapolis, because of my unusual case!!!!!  Whatever that means ????? Nobody wants me anymore !!!!!!! Ha Ha !!!! Cant help him,,,hes a gonner!!!!
Thats the background info !!!!! I have no details of second study yet, but first study showed that while on cpap the second half of study,, the hypopnea cleared totally, but at 5 to 7.5 pressure, my Central Apnea events were even worse!!!! Which I think is really low pressure !!!! What Im wondering is  if anyone has has success to treat this type of apnea with auto-pap ???? What are the chances I will feel better on this therapy ????? What might I expect ???? It just seems to me at such low pressure auto-pap wont be any more effective than straight Cpap,,,,,,for me !!!! Im anxious to read your thoughts and comments !!!!! Thanks !!!! Dan

Post Wait Till You Get the Results...
Hi LRT:
Yeah, best to get the results to figure out what the heck needs fixing before we try to fix it.

In the meanwhile, if you want to do a little reading about pesky centrals, this is a great segue for TMOAT, just open this little door...

TMOAT

And a world of adventure awaits you.
