Last Friday I had day surgery for straightening my septum and reducing my nasal outside wall. My face feels like I was punched in the front of my mouth. Once my nasal passage heals I have to go back and have another sleep study done to see if they pressure needs to be adjusted on my cpap machine. Right now it hurts to wear the nasal mask. I was wondering if when you put the cpap machine on is it suppose to feel like you nasal passage is a ballon filling with air?
Thanks,

David,
I think you should talk to the surgeon who operated on you.
After that type of surgery I would have thought that you would need some time to recover. Your passages are probably still quite crusty and blocked up. CPAP must be bloody uncomfortable to say the least.
Before having another sleep test make sure that all the swelling has gone down. This type of surgery should be helpful.
