I'm a web designer and graphic artist by day and a hosehead at night.

I'm new here, but find the information very helpful and everyone is very friendly... so in return I thought I'd do a little something.

I don't know who the owner/admin is (haven't actually looked to see)...
but I noticed right away that the logo on the forum was being resized by code, which gives it that grainy look.
I looked at the original image and its 650x166 and being resized to 489x125.

I decided to resize it for you guys and gals so that it would look smoother... of course, being the artist guy I am... I can't leave things alone.

I noticed that the file size was about 16k and thought, if I could make another design, that looks nearly the same but matches the layout more...
and make the file weight less, that maybe the owner/admin would like it and change it.

so... that's what I did.

here is my version of the logo: (around 14k and the correct display size)



I even saved it the same file name to make it easy to save and re-upload over the existing version.
if the staff here wants to use it, feel free to do so... no credit is needed anywhere. I'm not looking for anything in return.

edit: I just updated the image to line the left side of the box up with the same amount of space as the rest of the boxes on this forum... so it should fit and match up perfect.

Wow!  You know, I must have stared at this forum page a bazillion times for over a year and a half and not once noticed that the colors, especially the purple moon/sun, weren't the same as the original.  Sheesh, how observant am I???  

That's neat.  Yes, it's a much sharper version.  I've pointed it out to the powers that be.

Sometimes, it's more about the content then the looks... and in this site's case, it's very true...
But, with that said, my job has me looking at things like that all the time, and my obsessive compuslveness takes over.

I will be the first to admit that I am NOT a graphics guy.  That looks a LOT better!  Ed is sending you a higher res copy of the logo if you want something better to work with.  Thanks again for the logo!
