Post First Night!
Just wanted to give everyone a follow-up! After a very miserable night on Thursday, We finally got hubby's autoset CPAP on Friday!
He said this morning that he slept like a rock! I was up alot because of basically the "dead" silence! (no snoring no gasping for breath etc.) For the longest time he didn't even MOVE! and this morning he said, although he didn't feel like running a marathon yet, he's felt better in the mornings than he has in a LOOONNNNNNG time! Thanks again for ALL your support!!! He's a beleiver (in the mask) now!!!

Amazing what a simple thing like breathing will do, isn't it?! Laughing

Keep up the support to him, and hopefully you will adapt soon, as well.  Now, if I don't have my CPAP on when my wife goes to bed before I do, she will have trouble sleeping because it isn't on.

Good luck.

Isn't that the strangest thing??!!  I do the same thing if my husband or son sleeps too well.  I guess it's the result of too many long years of worrying about whether or not they were going to wake up again in the morning.....   d'oh!   Anyway, I'm glad that he had such a good night.  Hopefully you'll start to feel the benefits of him using a cpap soon as well.   Wink

Post Update!
Things are going really great! I am beginning to sleep better as well. It's been hot so we've had alot of fans running (they alone can keep me from not sleeping really good) but all and all things are much better. He is waking in mornings now with no "hangovers" (never drank in his life ha!) and has much more energy.
We know it will take a while to make up for the years of sleep depervation but he is already so much better. We know now why he felt so !@#!--not only was it because of lack of quality sleep but i'm sure lack of oxygen as well. with his AHI so high at 120/h and his desats going so low--lowest was 67% this is making a HUGE difference!! We are just so grateful for everything--me seeing something on SA to get my mind to "click" for all the information i've found etc.
