Post First Night Failure - Cont...
The first night I lasted only 30 minutes.  The second night I made it from midnight to 5:30AM, with a sleep aid.  The last 3 nights I have woken up at various times and the mask is off.  I was able to go to sleep with it on but then during the nights I seem to be removing it and am not even aware of it. Ha anyone else experienced these issues?  I do take Lunestra, otherwise I would never get to sleep with my "Darth Vader" simulator.  I am using a REM Star PLUS M Series CPAP, with a ResMed ULtra Mirage Full Face Mask.  The Ramp starts at 6.0 and goes to 10.0.  The C-Flex is set to 1.    Is the mask that I was given a good one or should I try another?  I do heavy mouth breathing.

Thank you
Michael

ask why you mouth breathe, sometimes its just a habit

you need to be patient and to think positive, it took me a full 3 months to adjust to my CPAP and ive used it every night for many years

removing mask in sleep is very common at first, I did it. d'oh!  tape mask to face so the pain will remind you not to

lots of new users are concerned about how they look wearing the mask but really its of no importance

try having daytime naps using CPAP, try having a nap in chair watching TV
