Post newbie help needed: jerky/gurgling sound; "burning"
New to forum - had machine a couple of years

respironics M series, heated humidifier dom
model # 1022334

woke up with machine sort of jerking and gurgling

turned off needless to say, but after reading other posts it is clear I know almost nothing about the machine

any idea how serious an issue this may be
I don't even know how to start to get help....got machine through local hospital sleep center, had a "support"company, but Medicare now says, it's your baby, you take care of it....so sort of feel have been thrown off the boat.

Almost died recently due to multiple, bilateral pulmonary emboli and trying to deal with adjusting to coumadin, so this problem becomes a major issue to ALSO deal with.

Wish I had known about this forum long before this....can see from messages there is a wealth of info about these machines that I don't have a clue about...

Thanks in advance for suggestions!!

It is probably "rainout", which is water condensing in the hose.  If it is rainout, all you have to do is raise the hose up and let the condensate water drain back into the humidifier.  Turn the humidifier down or off to prevent the condensation.

I have also had several blood clots, including a couple of pulmonary embolisms, and I don't know which is worse to deal with, Coumadin or CPAP.   Be sure to watch your green leafy vegetables; the vitamin K will totally mess up your pro-time.  The lettuce in a fast food burger or a bit of spinach the night before having your pro-time taken can throw off the test.

Post Thanks
since part of the hose usually hangs down in front of the AC vent, condensation sounds like a real possibility and one I NEVER would have thought of.

When I tried turning on the machine this Am, it sounded fine.
