The newest edition to the TAP family has just been released. It is the TAP 3 NF (nickel -free). It is the same device used as the Tap 3 but the nickel alloy has been removed. This means that patients who suffer from a metal or nickel allergy now have an OSA appliance alternative.
Also, by removing the nickel (a soft metal) from the hardware, it increases the strength of the threads and eliminates stripping as seen in previous versions.
