I'm new to all this.  My Mirage II was OK for one night, now leaks so much.  It works for a few hours during the night and then then it won't seal.  I'm thinking when my face is damp after I've washed it, the membrane sticks better.  Can I put K-Y on my face to get a better seal?  Also the humidifier in my Resprionics is so lame that I have to preheat my water or my nose gets cold!  Any comments on that?  I am getting a Fisher 432 full face - will see how that goes.

Nope. KY jelly won't help. You can try Mack's Silicone Ear Plugs. Take one, roll it in your hand to form a thin "rope" or "tape", lay that on the mask cushion along the area that leaks. Then don the mask WHILST LAYING DOWN, turn your CPAP ON and fit your mask to your face.

Doesn't work either - when I exhale it pushed the mask off my face!  I tried sealing the bottom with silicone where it's supposed to cup around my receding chin - no go.  So back to the drawing board  - so glad for this forum and the support!  I can understand 70% of people give up on C-PAP the first 6 mos.  I told my therapist I had notified the NSA of a new torture method that is completely legal...

The 432 did the same thing to me,  it just blew off my face. I was at a 20 then, that mask was completely useless. I use the quattro with the ear plugs, works well to keep the mask from slipping off of my little chin. I tried the mirage and that didn't work well for me at all.   Do you wash your face thouroughly before bedtime?  Maybe there's an oil problem you need to take care of .  You could keep some wipes next to your bed and clean your face when you wake up , that might help keep the seal.  Just throwing out an idea, hope it helps.
