Post ResMed VPAP Adapt SV turning on by itself?
My wife and I had been gone most of the day and when we can home my VPAP machine was running full blast. I had my Liberty mask hung on the bed post attached to the hose and machine, I had it set up to automatically turn on when I put the mask on and breath, and when I take the mask off the machine goes off. Anyway I checked the usage and it had only been running for about 5 minutes. I turned it off and disabled  the auto on feature. Now about 6 hours later I am in here  in my study  browsing this forum on the computer, and I here my  VPAP machine turn back on, no one is even in the bedroom and it is blowing air again at full blast! Any body ever have this problem? I don't think my house is haunted Smile  maybe the machine? Confused Other than that nothing seems to be wrong with it that I can find. I just got this machine the last part of May, it's the new enhanced version! And guess what it just did it again?

My Resperonics was turning itself off ...and the auto off feature was not enabled.  I know different Manufacturers...but wonder if some of the parts come from the same sub contracted companies.

Maybe "enhanced" means it comes enhanced w/the "ghosties"??? Doggone if I have any explanation for it! I mean if it had just been the one time I'd venture a guess the mask or hose was somehow blocked. You know how these Resmeds stay on at low pressure for a short while to dry things out. But, goshes if it is coming on at full blast, multiple times a day ...... you have an "unruly pup" there who might benefit from a return to "obedience school".

No kinks in your hose?

CrohnieToo The machine worked fine all night long, and hasn't came on by its self so far this morning. It is weird though! No one even around, and all of sudden it turns its self on and  starts blowing on full, I guess if it does it again I should wait a while and see if it turns it's self back off, maybe some ghost is having some apnea problems and needs a treatment?? Laughing

I know that mine will turn on form the slightest movement (it is set to auto) I think it is from the movement of air and it is just so sensitive.  Do you have AC that could be blowing air in it.  If not it must be some ghost with CSA.

Mrs RVW your now singing my type of music, Peter, Paul and Mary sings it the best! JimK you just might be on to something! The AC vent isn't to far away from where the machine is, but it is funny that it doesn't do it all the time? And I took it off of  Auto and it done it twice more! But I never thought about the AC being a possibility! I will keep an eye on it! Or I will start having to look up Ghost Busters!

You crack me up Mrs RVW! Now I am going to have to get out my records, Yes I still have Records and a Kenwood turn table to play them on! I like the Best of Peter, Paul and Mary (ten) years together! Blowin in the wind, Puff the Magic dragon, and Lemon tree are my favorites! Time for some real music! Maybe that Ghost will enjoy some good Folk music with my VPAP Laughing

I have to admit I liked those three songs as well, WhiteBeard, but I was more into Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, Ferlin Husky, Bobby Vinton, Elvis in the early years, Roy Orbison, Bobby Helms ...... THE PLATTERS! Dean Martin. I've got old 45s and 33s up the ying-yang and most of them transferred to my 'puter or to tape and CDs and now to a couple of flash drives. I've got this neat gadget to plug into my car's cigarette lighter, plug in my flash drive and can drive 12 hours to Mayo Clinic w/o hearing the same song twice and no commercials and lost stations. LOVE IT!

* And Bobby Vinton still has a great voice, cute tush and sexy, subtle moves. YEAH!

What are THOSE!!!!????...Do you have to put those on that thing you crank?

I love all that stuff...I was born a few years later than I should have been...

Hey, we need to get a turntable...My DH wants to listen to his Rusty Warren record.  No he is not old enough for it really...but his mother was a singer and professional concert pianist in Boston...I guess they went to the same college.  As for me...give me my folk...my celtic and my classical.  We have a lot of records...mostly mine..Burl Ives, Peter Paul and Mary, Simon Garfunkel, Gorden Lightfoot and I also have old Blue Grass.  Plus Maine Yankee Humor...Crohnie your DH should know Saturday Night In Dover/Foxcroft and,  Burt and I and a few others... Good night Phoebe!

Boy CrohnieToo and Mrs RVW you have mentioned all of my favorites, Jim Reeves and Patsy Cline, Burl Ives, Simon and Garfunkel, Gordon light Foot, Wow those were  some of the good ones, and how about the 4 Seasons, we five, and of course the Kingston Trio, and Brothers 4 and one of my absolute favorites is the New Christy Minstrels! I have all of them and more on LP's I really need to do what you have done CrohnieToo and put them on the computer and then on flash drive or and MP3 player. It is funny that you mentioned playing that music on your way up to Mayo's CrohnieToo, we do much the same but with CD's of the old music when we go there to visit our daughter! There are not many good radio stations to listen to going up, especially going thru Wisconsin! Oh CrohnieToo you forgot to mention Tammy Wynette! Laughing  Mrs RVW you definitely need to get your self a turn table! But now days they are rather expensive. That Sleep Apnea ghost is going to get educated in the good type of music. Heck my wife came home from work and wanted too know why I was listening to the Ventures! and had all the old records out! I think she thinks I've lost it! Very Happy

Rusty Warren??? I haven't thought of her in years!!! What was that song she used to do? Roll Me Over? Roll Me Over In The Clover? I had several of her albums at one time. Ex-husband glommed them when he left. It was worth it to be rid of him.

I've got The Platters going right now.

Hey, did you ever hear Jim Reeves albums from his trip to South Africa?? Some GREAT songs on it! He even sang "Beautiful Dreamer" in Afrikanner plus others we're not familiar with.

I forgot to ask: is your xPAP "ghostie" enjoying your music or is he still playing w/your xPAP?
