He should have a followup visit with his pulmonologist and yes, have the smart card info printed out.
There may need to be an adjustment in pressure. But he needs to know if everything else with his cpap setup is working ok. What kind of mask does he use -- is it the nasal (covers nose), nasal pillows (at nostrils) or a full face mask (covers nose and mouth)? Is he a mouth breather while he sleeps? If he uses a nose-only type of mask and is mouth breathing, then he can't get the full benefit of the cpap pressure. If this is the case, it may not be the cpap pressure. But if everything is working as it should, there may be a need for a pressure change, and only the pulmonologist can order that (done by your DME). It's important to have a followup visit, especially if his symptoms reappear. He may or may not need a re-titration sleep study at a sleep study center; or he may need some other type of change. If the smart card doesn't resolve things, the doc might order the temporary use of an auto cpap to titrate him at home. It's good to have your husband see the doctor. Let us know how things go.
