Post Chin Strap Recommendation w/ResMed Mirage Swift Mask
I am using a ResMed Mirage Swift Mask with a "cheap" simple chin strap, but the strap keeps falling off.  Can someone recommend a better chin strap that is compatible with this type mask?

Thanks.

some people make their own with some elastic or a nylon stocking tied in a knot

any chinstrap is unlikely to keep the lips sealed, you need tape for that

I use a Ruby Chin Strap and love it.

Looks like this.  Mine is red.  Cost about $20.

The Respironics Deluxe chinstrap has worked for me.  It's not the most comfortable thing in the world, but I consistantly get good sleep when I wear it, no matter what type of mask.  It's about 3" wide, VERY stretchy & comes with 2 additional thinner velcro straps to help hold it on your head.
I've tried the chin cup types, but they're not stretchy enough & I end up with a ring around my chin.  The Deluxe holds my jaw in place so my mouth doesn't slide back when I'm in deep sleep.  I sometimes get lip flutters, but just tape my lips shut & go back to sleep.
Hope this helps you decide.

I too have the swift nasal mask and while I don't think I am a mouth breather all the time, I do it sometimes so my solution was too tape my mouth shut with 1 1/2 in wide blue painter masking tape.  It seems to do the trick and it is very easy to take off, does not leave marks or hurt.  I have found that lately I am waking up with the nasal pillows on my forhead!  Don't know what that is about.  I am doing all I can to avoid a FF mask!
Doesn't tape on the mouth do the same thing as a chin strap?
