Post How many filters will insurance pay for???
I was just fiagnosed w/ bad dust mite allergies and I figure I'd better start replacing the filters on my Resmed S8 more often.  How frequently are filters supposed to be changed, and would a doctor write an order for more frequent changes so insurance would pay for them?

Anybody know what BCBS POS plans pay a DME for disposable fiters?  If it's prohibitive, I may just buy them on my own from a direct supplier.

would help to keep CPAP up off floor as more dust down there

in general, filters on new model CPAPs keep getting smaller which I think is bad design, also with my new puritan bennett cpap, the air intake can be blocked if back of machine os pushed up hard against the wall

My BCBS pays for 2 filters a month (the ultra fine white ones) and one foam filters (the washable one) less often.
