You forgot the swift type mask called the Bravo by Innomed !!!

Oops, you have it, but listed with the full face masks...
it should be listed with the swift type masks. I happen to have one that I use once in a wile. It's a lot like my swift II but a lot softer on my nose.
Still like my Hybrid the best of all masks.

Hello, I am curious is this list up to date?  I see the post was back in 2007, but there is a comment from 2009.  Please let me know, because if it is i want to print it out so I can do some homework and check them out on line and maybe at the local DME provider so i can have a head start when I finally get to pick mine out.  Thanks alot for any feedback.

I just wish I could find a full face mask that didn't leak and would be comfortable. All that I have tried require tightening so tight to prevent leaks and cause pain. I've given up trying to use this pap machine and I so need to use it.

I have not stayed abreast of mask developments. Has any company released any new sleep apnea masks recently  to be included in my lists of masks ?

I am worried I'm going to be stuck with a bad mask and its not going to be as effective.  Do I get to choose what my mask will be?  I am clueless and just have been diagnosed with hyponea mild to moderate sleep apnea right?

You have just been diagnosed and I am sure the technicians will do everything possible to fit you with the best possible mask. Why not stay positive and believe you are going to get the best mask available on the market ?

Choice always makes us wonder if something we do not have is better than what we have.

Look at me, I had no choice in 1989. Just had to accept the only cpap machine and only mask that was available and I did not worry or complain just used what was given to stay alive.

If you want a tip. Answer a couple of questions.
1- are you a heavy snorer
2- do you breathe through your mouth sometimes
3- do you feel claustrophobic.

My first choice would be a simple Resmed Activa Nose mask. However this may not be effective if you wear this mask and breathe with the mouth. This will require a full face mask. But then a full face mask can be a bit claustrophobic.

If you do not mind nasal cushions up your nostrils and a  mask around the moth the Respcare Hybrid may be a good option... Just type cpap mask in google image search and you will see most available models..

There is no need to worry.

Dear Vicky, I have revised the entire list with a revised format which seems more logical, nose to nose pillows to mouth to full face to full face with nose pillows. Please let me know if you find any mistakes as I am notorious for careless spelling and using capitals all over the place

Dear Vicky, While this list is appropriately located in this section under cpap machines and masks questions I believe  another sticky of the same under the "HELP" section will serve the community of new comers who go straight to the help section.. In fact I was always lurking around the HELP section for many many months until you moved the thread and made it a sticky under machines and masks.
