Post about me
It has been hard for me...I am not ashamed....I have eaten what I wanted....but the other half of me says...do not eat this or that...but there are times....

I have been heavy pretty much all my life....I am retired(30 years in Radio)now age 42...I have been diagnosed with apnea since 1995...and still have MY ORIGINAL MACHINE....REMSTAR...had it fixed once....but I am glad I retired...and stay at home...I was Diagnosed with (O.C.P.D- obsessive-compulsive personality disorder in 2006 and severe depression on top of that)....but I go on....I am being treated...I had lung surgery at the age of 15...and had breathing problems since...I have a lovely wife and daughter...and loves me much...I love to cook(that is my downfall)

(DO NOT MEAN TO BE A DOWNER)...but I am glad I am at home...with all that combined...that is why I had to quit radio....Im in the process of getting SSI/SSA....

I keep myself busy...I would like to hear from other apneacs...I am a HAM operator too...please e mail me at
ke7ggv@comcast.net

I am proud of what I am and what I am...I am glad my wife"convinced me"to get treated and a sleep study....I am thinking of getting off my rear and join a support group

Hi Jerry,

It's so very interesting reading about what you've been going through.  Sounds like you've been through alot.
It's so great that you have such a loving, supportive family.  And it seems to me your wife is one smart cookie to "convince" you to get treated for sleep apnea.
 Applause

And I bet your wife loves the fact that you love to cook!!  I'm so glad you've joined us.  And most importantly, I'm so very glad that you are proud of who you are.  If you can achieve that and enjoy the love of a family, then all the rest is no big deal.  Welcome aboard!

Linda
