Post Exaggerated startle response
I am still in the process of being diagnosed for sleep apnea; 'had my sleep study last week and am seeing an ENT tomorrow.  Although I intend to ask the doctors about this, I am curious to hear from those of you in this forum.  My question is, have any of you experienced exaggerated startle response, possibly from becoming more and more exhausted before your diagnosis/treatment for sleep apnea?  Over the past 10 years or so, I have gotten so abnormally jumpy; any noise behind me makes me jump out of my skin.  It's so frustrating!  This is one symptom of PTSD, which I don't think that I have, and I have just been wondering if once I actually feel rested again if I will naturally feel less jumpy--more able to cope with the unexpected...any thoughts on this will be appreciated!

I also was very tense and jumpy.....    That's one of the reasons I went to see a doctor...  It was out of character for me...
