i was sleeping on the sofa, dozing on a lazy day and woke froma  brief nap to this show this morning after a huge breakfast. it drove me CRAZY as rosie talked over or cut off the specialist/author's information for laughs. anybody recall who he was?

Post The sleep apnea specialist's name was Dr. Michael Breus 
He's a sleep specialist and he recently published a book called Good Night: The Sleep Doctor's 4-Week Program to Better Sleep and Better Health.

I'm currently using the book to try and work through my insomnia. I have the kind where you wake up 2 hours into your sleep and immediately start thinking about work.  Using his method I've so far figured out that if I quit drinking diet soda at least 6 hours before bed, I may not wake up at all in the middle of the night. So... pretty helpful stuff, so far. If I can have the discipline to drop the diet soda. (And hot chocolate, and coffee ice cream.. sigh).  Very Happy

There are several forum-type boards that are devoted to sleep apnea and sleep disorders.  A couple of them that I am on are CPAP talk and Talk About Sleep.  You should check them out if you haven't already.
