Was just wondering if anybody's child has central sleep apnea???
My son's was borderline abnormal...he had 10 apnea's and they were either central or
mixed apnea....
The dr. think's its okay...but when you read about central apnea..they say its more worrisome..and it can even cause seisures and sudden death...this really scared me just wondering if anybody else's child had mild central apnea and what the doctor told them.

mathew has central sleep apnoeas, periodic breathing, hypnoeas, and central hypoventilation
he was dx at 14 months after suffering since he was 6 months old.

matthew has had 4 sleep studies done since last august, hes under a resp doc and neurology for this.
matthew isnt on any treatment for his just on a apnoea alarm.

hes had a genetic test done as hes apnoea r quite severe, 285 in his 1st sleep study.

if ur worried i would keep on at the hosp, maybe get them to repeat another sleep study in a couple of months.
