Post overnight flight and CPAP
Does anyone have any suggestions about CPAP usage during an overnight flight? Are there any options?

If you talk to the airlines company and they can accommodate you, the next thing you might want to know is what the cabin pressure is equal to in altitude durring the flight. (I'm not an engineer, but it doesn't make sence to me that they will pressurize the cabin to same as sea-level, @30,000 ft)

My cpap will compensate for 3 different altitudes up to 7,500 feet and after that they can't guarantee the pressure/rate the cpap will produce. This way you could preset your cpap for the flight and set it back to the proper altitude for your stay

Hi,

At present Quantas are the only ones supplying a power point in Economy Class and upwards. You must apply to them in advance (a few weeks) as there are quite a few forms to fill out.

Other long haul operators provide power points in Business and First Class, again you must make contact with them in advance.

A friend of mine recently flew to Sydney (from Dublin), via Franfurt with Quantas and was facilitated all the way from Franfurt with a power point for his cpap.

Having cpap used to be a good excuse to look for an upgrade.........for nothing  Laughing  If the flight isn't too full you might try.
Don't tell them about the snoring until you get airborne.......or they might choose to leave you behind  Laughing

Kind regards,

Daniel
