Couldn’t resist injecting some humor to lighten your day!
Over the pillow and under the covers
To my nose it goes.
The hose with care, carries the air
To keep me from the doze.
Over the pillow and under the covers
Tangled in the bedclothes.
I toss and turn and silently yearn
To be freed from this airflow.
Over the pillow and under the covers
I’m starting to feel kind of hollow.
Too much air I usurp, and end with a burp
From all the air that I swallow.
Over the pillow and under the covers
Red marks it does impose.
The mask in place, on my face,
As more oxygen it bestows.
Over the pillow and under the covers
Blowing like a bellows.
But I don’t mind being confined
It keeps me from the gallows.
